WMD also known as weapons of mass destruction , are weapons that are used to cause lots of damages and casualties. The reason for the war, and placing sanctions on Iraq was to get rid of Saddam Hussein's Supply of weapons of mass destruction. The war started by Bush telling Hussein that he has 48 hours before he will face a war, however Bush and his administration could not convince the UN that military force was necessary in getting rid suspected WMDs in Iraq. After the time had past they began to start bombing places Hussein was possibly located in, but were not successful in taking him out. Once Saddam's hometown had been captured Bush had began to start the search in finding WMDs and Saddam. But were unsuccessful in finding any weapons of mass destruction armories, but they did eventually capture Hussein in December 2003.
